I worked on designing the user experience and interface of Insignia's configurator tool. On top of their general theme that is provided by default to any new dealership, we were approached by a handful of companies, such as Volkswagen and AutoNation, to create a brand-specific theme for each.

Insignia trains car dealers sales staff to follow a specific process and provides best practices to increase daily sales on accessories. Though their configurator isn't the main component of the whole process, it plays a major part in it and requires constant and specific utilization. For that reason, the final product needed to match and seamlessly work with the training plan presented to dealerships.

Working closely with our development and field teams, I took on the responsibility of creating user flows, wireframes, and information architectures as well as presenting prototypes and final user interface comps to the design team. This also required working with other internal departments—such as the customer service department—and interviewing them throughout the design process to get a better understanding of the user.
